Colour

Crimson Red | Orange | Midnight Blue

Crimson Red and Orange flood the canvas of this scene, depicting a Golden Hour in the Mediterranean. Yellow and Midnight Blue tones add contrast and luminosity for a touch of luxury and elegance. 

 

Symbolism and Inspiration

L'ODYSSÉE takes its references from Homer's Odyssey, an epic tale of exploration and adventure, combined with idyllic descriptions of natural beauty, which is largely dramatised in western Italy and the Amalfi coast. 

Modern Amalfi is a timeless symbol of an idealised Mediterranean coast: Steep cliffs rising above the calmness of the sea water. The sweeping roads following the curve of the mountains over the dramatic arches of stone viaducts: a reference to constant movement and travel. The serene silhouette of mountains in the distance, and the stillness of a sailing boat mirrored on the crystal waters: symbols of calmness and contemplation. The golden hues of the sunset bathing the landscape in a combination of crimson red, against the deep blue of the mountains' shadows, adding a supernatural dimension to the scene - a nod to the epic tale of Ulysses.    

 

Care

Our pocket squares are crafted from 100% silk. To maintain their quality and vibrancy:

  • Dry cleaning is recommended.
  • If hand-washed, use cold water and a gentle detergent, then air dry flat. Avoid bleach or tumble drying.
  • Iron carefully on the reverse with low heat, using a cloth barrier.
  • Store flat or gently rolled to protect the fabric’s natural sheen.
