A Delicate Craftsmanship  

A detail of Venice that always fascinated me is the architectural tracery of the Palazzo facades. An intricate stone lacework which, unlike other European examples, not only supports stained glass, but also the facade itself. 

It makes the buildings appear visually lighter, while allowing ventilation and natural light to enter the interior. The Doge's Palace and Casa d'Oro, with Gothic, Byzantine and Moorish influences, are two of the most elaborate examples. 

Artistry Materialised in Silk

The Venetian is a new pocket square design inspired by the architecture of Venice and is now available in my shop. The composition features architectural tracery and the quatrefoil - an emblem of harmony and good luck.

Three more colour themes will be available soon, associated with the vivid colours of Venice, evoking the wealth, colour, and ambition of this extraordinary city.
